Ojas Premier League Session-1 2018 was organized between 6th Feb.’18 to 21st Mar.’18 at Jaipur.
12 teams from different academies participated in this tournament. The crucial final of this tournament was played on 21st Mar.’18 at Ojas Cricket Ground- Jaipur between GR Cricket Academy and Aarawali Cricket Academy.
GR Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat. Team did not manage to get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. However, Gurkeerat and Jasveer played a good innings and added 28 and 34 runs steadily. Remaining players failed to score significantly and team ended up scoring 159 runs in 34 overs by losing all the wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Vivek from Aarawali Cricket Academy, who took 4 wickets in 8 overs.
While chasing, Aarawali Cricket Academy got a very good start with opening batsman Vivek smashing 61 runs with 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Parth Upadhyay too played extremely well and scored 43 runs off 24 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. With all the players contributing well, team chased down the target in just 25.4 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Pankaj Kataria from GR Cricket Academy with 2 wickets.
