One of the most prestigious tournaments of Solapur - Police Commissioner Trophy 2018 was organized between 10th Mar.’18 to 19th Mar.’18.
48 teams from various departments participated in this tournament, from which the final was played between City Police (A) and K K Raja A on 19th Mar.’18 at Police Mukhyalay Ground- Solapur.
K K Raja A won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, City Police (A) scored 67 runs in 8 overs by losing 6 wickets. Highest scorers were Mustak Shaikh and Vasant Mane with 24 and 15 runs respectively. Faizal Patel from K K Raja A was the pick of the bowlers as he took 2 wickets in 2 overs.
While chasing, K K Raja A got a very good start with opening batsman Asif Shaikh scoring 28 runs in 24 balls with 3 boundaries and 1 six. Sameer too played extremely well and added 24 runs in just 8 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes. Team chased down the target in 7.1 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.
