GPL- Gaya Premier League 2018 was organized between 9th Mar.’18 to 17th Mar.’18 at Gaya.
8 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. The crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Gewal Bigha Dabbang and Maharani Heroes on 17th Mar.’18 at Harihar Subhramanium Stadium- Gaya.
Gewal Bhigha Dabbang won the toss and elected to bat. Proving their decision right, team played a very good innings with almost all the players contributing well for the final score. Most of the players scored at a good pace but leading batsman was Praveen Yadav, who smashed 52 runs off 25 balls with 1 boundary and 7 sixes. Team ended up at a good score of 161 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Nishikant from Maharani Heroes with 3 wickets.
While replying, Maharani Heroes started to lose wickets from early overs. Despite trying really well, team failed to score at required pace and collapsed making 106 runs in 17.1 overs. Highest scorers were Captain Syed Saifullah and Vijay Bharti with 26 and 20 runs respectively. All the bowers from Gewal Bigha Dabbang did a good job but pick of the bowlers was Prince Kumar, who took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
Gewal Bigha Dabbang won the final by 55 runs against Maharani Heroes in GPL- Gaya Premier League 2018.
