SMB Trophy Season-3 2018 between 8th Mar.’18 and 12th Mar.’18 at Rawalpindi.
Out of the 8 participant teams, the crucial final was played between Taheri Tigers and Hyderabad Hurricanes on 11th Mar.’18 at Ayub Park- Rawalpindi.
Hyderabad Hurricanes won the toss and elected to field. They failed to restrict opponent from scoring well and Taheri Tigers played a good innings and scored 73 runs in 6 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest scorers were Saifuddin Muqadam and Mustafa Saleem with 26 and 20 runs respectively. Bowling highlight of the innings was Burhanuddin Sh Ibrahim Rampurwala, who scalped 2 wickets in 1 over by giving only 3 runs.
While chasing, Hyderabad Hurricanes started well with opening batsman Hussain Rawat scoring 21 runs in 15 balls. This followed by quick 16 by Hussain Sh Ali Ashagar Hakimi in 8 balls. However, team lost some important wickets in crucial overs but Burhan Nasir Nimcha Wala’s 15 runs in 6 balls helped team finally reach to the target. It was a nail-biting final as Hyderabad Hurricanes scored 74 runs in the last over.
