Jay Jalasai Koli Patel Cricket League 2018 was organized between 26th Jan.’18 to 11th Mar.’18 at Surat.
Out of the 49 participant teams, the final was played between R.J.Sports XI Ichchhapor and Shivalay XI Junagam at H.N.V. Cricket Ground Masma- Surat on 11th Mar.’18.
R.J. Sports XI Ichchhapor won the toss and elected to bat. Team played a wonderful innings with all the players contributing significantly for the final score. Opening batsmen Vatsal Patel and Vishal Patel scored 46 and 59 runs respectively at fast rate. Highest scorer was Kalpesh Patel, who smashed 79 runs in just 29 balls with 4 boundaries 9 sixes. With these wonderful performances, team managed to put up a good score of 220 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 4 wickets.
While replying, Shivalay XI Junagam too got a good start with Navin Patel and Rakesh scoring 34 and 60 runs respectively. However, remaining players failed to maintain the pace and team lost some important wickets in middle. Despite trying well, Shivalay XI Junagam closed their innings at 185 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sunil Patel from R.J. Sports XI with 3 wickets.
R.J. Sports XI Ichchhapor won the final by 35 runs in Jay Jalasai Koli Patel Cricket League 2018 against Shivalay XI Junagam.
