27 Ekda Premier League Sponsored by SVJ was organized between 28th Jan.’18 to 11th Mar.’18 at Ahmedabad.
10 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. Held at Sangath IPL- Ahmedabad, the final of this much cherished tournament was played between Bitable Warriors and Naranpura Warriors on 11th Mar.’18.
Bitable Warriors won the toss and elected to bat. Team faced some early blows in the form of Jay Shah and Vishal Shah. However, Captain Ashik Shah played a wonderful innings and scored 84 runs in just 26 balls with 3 boundaries and 11 sixes leading team to a good score of 137 runs in 12 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Parth Shah from Naranpura Warriors with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Naranpura Warriors too lost some wickets in early overs. Most of players failed to score freely against the effective bowling by Bitable Warriors. Highest scorer was Parth Shah, who scored 40 runs in 20 overs. Remaining players did not manage to go beyond 10’s and 20’s and team ended up scoring 119 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Ashik Shah from Bitable Warriors, who took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
