IMPCL 2018 Season 8 was organised by Indian Model School- Solapur between 25th Feb.’18 to 9th Mar.’18 at Solapur.
Out of the 10 participant teams, the crucial final of this much cherished tournament was played by IMS Indians and IMS Kings on 9th Mar.’18 at Railway Cricket Ground- Solapur.
IMS Kings won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, IMS Indians failed to get a good start as they lost some important wickets in early overs. However, Captain Aashish Katare, who came to bat on 7th position played a very good innings as he scored 60 runs off 29 balls with 5 boundaries and 5 sixes giving much needed boost to the final score. IMS Indians closed at 119 runs at the end of 15 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Ahmed Shaikh Ab, who took 2 wickets in 3 overs by giving only 10 runs.
While chasing, IMS Kings started well with both the opening batsmen HS Kulkarni and Kashinath Koli scoring 22 and 19 runs respectively steadily. Captain Ahmed Shaikh Ab shined again as he played a wonderful innings by adding 59 runs in 29 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes. Team chased down the target in 14.2 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.
IMS Kings won the final of IMPCL 2018 (India Model Parents Cricket League) Season 8 by 8 wickets against IMS Indians.
