MFL (Madra Fort League) Season 2 was played between 5th Jan.’18 to 8th Mar.’18 at Chennai.
Out of the 12 participant teams, the crucial final of this tournament was played between R.S.S and Rock Star 11 on 8th Mar.’18 at Chennai Fort.
Rock Star 11 won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, R. S. S got a very good start with opening batsman Mohit Kumar Sancheti smashing 60 runs off 44 balls with 5 boundaries and 1 six. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, team managed to put up a decent score of 123 runs at the end of 15 overs with the loss of 9 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Aatish from Rock Star 11, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Rock Star 11 started fumble from early overs. Most of the players did not manage to go beyond 20’s. Highest scorer was Vishal, who made 30 runs off 19 balls. Mehul too played a good innings and added 22 runs in 10 balls. However, team failed to score at required rate and team ended up scoring 100 runs at the end of 18 overs after losing 8 wickets. Ibadul Hassan and Mohit Kumar Sancheti from R. S. S bowled extremely well as they took 3 wickets each restricting the opponent from reaching to the target.
