Late Shri Shivdutt Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament U-17 2018 was played between 12th Jan.’18 to 7th Mar.’18 at Delhi.

11 teams of various cricket academies participated in this tournament. The crucial final of this tournament was played on 7th Mar.’18 at Sant Sujan Singh Sports Complex- Delhi between Ravindra Academy and L.B. Shastri Coaching Center.

L.B. Shastri Coaching Center won the toss and elected to field. Team succeeded in restricting Ravindra Academy at a low score of 91 runs. Most of the players from Ravindra Academy failed to contribute significantly for the final score and team started to fumble for early overs. Highest scorer was Captain Keshav Dabas, who made 36 runs in 38 balls with 5 boundaries. None of the remaining players managed to go beyond 10’s and team collapsed in 23.3 overs after making 91 runs. All the bowlers from L.B. Shastri did a good job but chief wrecker was Gony Ambe, who scalped 4 wickets in 4.3 overs damaging the batting line up of Ravindra Academy completely.

While chasing, L.B. Shastri Coaching Center too did not manage to get a good start. Team lost 7 wickets in quick succession within 10 overs of the innings. However, stable partnership between Sunny and Sanju proved a turning point for the match as they scored 37 and 36 runs respectively taking team towards final win. Aditya from Ravindra Academy bowled extremely well as he took 4 wickets in 7 overs. L.B.Shastri Coaching Center scored 92 runs in 19.1 by losing 7 wickets.
