Young Premier League Season-2 was organized between 25th Feb.’18 to 4th Mar.’18 at Jamnagar.
Out of the 8 participant teams, 2 finalist teams were Lalpur Lions and YCA Blasters. The final was played on 4th Mar.’18 at Ajitsinh Cricket Pavillion - Jamnagar.
YCA Blasters won the toss and elected to field. Team did not manage to restrict the opponent for a low score. Batting first, Lalpur Lions closed at a decent score of 125 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Highest scorers were Paresh Rabari and Hitesh Mankad with 35 and 31 runs respectively. Sakil Noyda from YCA Blasters bowled really well as he took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, YCA Blasters started well with both Divyaraj Jadeja and Rutvij Mehta adding 14 and 25 runs steadily. Captain Milan Akbari (25) and Sakil Noyda (22) too played good innings. However, team lost some important wickets during middle overs, which restricted them from reaching to the target. Team ended up scoring 110 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Dharmendra Jadeja from Lalpur Lions was the pick of the bowlers as he took 2 important wickets in crucial overs affecting the batting line up of opponent team badly.
Lalpur Lions won the final by 15 runs against YCA Blasters in Young Premier League Season- 2.
