Elsevier Premier League 2018 was played between 3rd Feb.’18 to 3rd Mar.’18 at Chennai.
10 teams from various departments of RELX participated in this tournament. The final of this much cherished tournament was played on 3rd Mar.’18 between Customer Support Kings CSK and LN Blasters at DB Jain College Ground- Chennai.
Customer Support Kings CSK won the toss and elected bat. Team scored at fast rate and made 106 runs in 12 overs by losing 4 wickets. Denny Mansingh was the main contributor, who scored 43 runs in just 19 balls with 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Balaji too played well and added 30 runs in 30 balls. Pick of the bowlers was SigappuRaj from LN Blasters, who took 2 wickets in 2 overs.
While chasing, LN Blasters started to fumble from early overs against the strong bowling attack by Customer Support Kings CSK. No one except Captain SigappuRaj, managed to go beyond single digit scores. SigappuRaj was the highest scorer with 35 runs off 28 balls. Almost all the bowlers from Customer Support King CSK did a good job, but pick of the bowlers was Raj, who took 2 wickets in 2 overs giving 9 runs. LN Blasters ended up scoring 78 runs at the end of 12 overs with the loss of 9 wickets.
