ZPL- Zalawad Premier League 2018 was organized by SZVS Jain Samaj between 21st Feb.’18 to 25th Feb.’18 at Ahmedabad.
Out of the 8 participant teams, the final of this much celebrated tournament was played between Black Horses and Golden Lions on 25th Feb.’18 at AES Cricket Ground- Ahmedabad.
Black Horses won the toss and elected to bat. Team started well with the stable partnership of 46 runs between Kaushal Gandhi and Ankit Shah, who added 26 and 15 runs respectively. Dr. Apurva Sanghvi, who came to bat on 3rd position played a wonderful innings and scored 54 runs in 40 balls with 4 boundaries. Team closed the innings at a decent score of 144 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Vishal Sanghavi from Golden Lions with 2 wickets.
While replying, Golden Lions didn’t get a good start and lost some important wickets in early overs. Players failed to score freely against the effective bowling from Black Horses. Highest scorer was Vishal Sanghvi, who remained not out at 39 off 49 balls. Jay Sanghavi too contributed well as he scored 32 runs in 24 balls with 4 boundaries. Despite trying well, team ended up scoring 129 run at the end of 20 overs after losing 8 wickets. Kaushal Gandhi and Kushal Gopani from Black Horses bowled really well and took 3 and 2 wickets respectively restricting the opponent team from reaching to the target.
Black Horses won the final by 15 runs against Golden Lions in ZPL- Zalawad Premier League 2018.
