An interesting one day tournament - APL- Afcons Premier League 2018 was played on 25th Feb.’18 at Jamnagar.
Out of the 4 participant teams, the all-important final was played between Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow and Go Green at Vasant vadi Cricket Ground- Jamnagar.
Go Greens won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow played a good innings and reached at a moderate score of 84 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Majority of the players scored in 10’s , where in highest contributor was Rajiv Kumar with 25 runs in 19 balls. Bowling highlight of the innings was Ashish Kumar Rajput from Go Greens, who took 3 wickets in 2 overs by giving only 5 runs.
While chasing, Go Greens started well with opening batsman Karan Yadav hitting 21 runs off 14 balls with 3 boundaries. However, he failed to get support from the other end and team started to lose wickets from early overs. With all the remaining players scoring in single digits, team ended up scoring 67 runs in 10 overs by losing 8 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Chandrakant from Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow with 2 wickets.
