NCA (Nasik Cricket Academy) U-14 Inter School Trophy 2018 was organized between 6th Feb.’18 to 25th Feb.’18 at Nashik.
16 teams from various schools participated in this tournament. Held at NCA Nashik Cricket Academy Ground, the all-important final of this much loved tournament was played between Rasbihari International U-14 and St. Lawrence U-14 on 25th Feb.’18.
St. Lawrence U-14 won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Rasbihari International U-14 played a good innings with most of the players contributing well for the final score. Opening batsmen Swami Battase(28)and Yashpal Gupta(17) gave team a good start with a strong partnership of 55 runs for the first wicket. Vinit Dashputre too played a very good innings and added 57 runs in 61 balls with 4 boundaries. Team scored 176 runs in 40 overs after losing all wickets. Sahil Dandgawhal from St. Lawrence U-14 bowled exceptionally well as he took 5 wickets in 8 overs by giving 38 runs restricting Rasbihari International U-14 from putting up a big score.
While chasing, St. Lawrence U-14 failed to score at required pace and team started to lose wickets from early overs. No one except Prathamesh Bharate (32) managed to go beyond 30’s and team collapsed making 113 runs in 29.1 overs. Batsmen did not manage to stay on crease for long against the strong bowling attack from Rasbihari International U-14. The chief wreckers were Om Dhumal and Aryan Solanki from Rasbihari International U-14, who took 3 and 2 wickets respectively damaging the batting line up of St. Lawrence completely.
Rasbihari International U-14 won the final of NCA (Nashik Cricket Academy) U-14 Inter School Trophy 2018 by 63 runs against St. Lawrence U-14.
