GMCS Premier League 2018 was organized between 11th Feb.’18 to 21st Feb.’18 at Surat.
Out of the 5 participant teams, the crucial final was played between Thar Thrillers and D Spartans on 21st Feb.’18 at GMC Ground- Surat.
D Spartans won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Thar Thrillers made 160 runs in 20 overs after losing all the wickets. Team had a strong batting line with almost all the players scoring at good rate. However, they failed to stay on crease for long and wickets started to fall from early overs. Major contributors were Milind Gandhi and Dr. Swai Dan with 24 and 20 runs respectively. Dr. Ashish and Dr.Het Patel from D Spartans bowled really well and took 3 wickets each restricting the opponent from putting up a big score.
While chasing, D Spartans did not get a good start and lost 2 important wickets in the form of Nidhish and Dr. Mohnish in early overs. However, Dr. Yatin and Dr.Het Patel’s strong partnership took team to a strong position and D Spartans chased down the target in 19 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. Dr.Het Patel was on fire as he smashed 89 runs in 41 balls with 13 boundaries and 4 sixes. Dr. Yatin and Harsh too played well and added 34 and 24 runs respectively at good pace.
D Spartans won the final of GMCS Premier League 2018 by 7 wickets against Thar Thrillers.
