Champions League Raipur Season-II was organized between 17th Dec.’17 to 18th Feb.’18 at Raipur.
Held at Jarway Ground- Raipur, an all-important final was played between Atari Pride and Heerapur Warriors on 18th Feb.’18.
Heerapur Warriors won the toss and elected to field. Team failed to restrict the opponent team from scoring well as Atari Pride played a wonderful innings and scored 202 runs in 15 overs after losing 5 wickets. Atari Pride had a strong batting line up with almost all the players contributing well for the final score. Captain Rupesh Singh Rajpoot was the leading batsman, who scored unbeaten 94 runs in 32 balls with 4 boundaries and 12 sixes. Pick of the bowlers was Kalim Khan from Heerapur Warriors with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Heerapur Warriors did not get a very good start and team started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Sayyad Salim was the highest scorer with 46 runs off 20 balls. None of the remaining players managed to score significantly against the strong bowling attack from Atari Pride. Team collapsed scoring 119 runs in 13.5 overs. While all the bowlers of Atari Pride did a good job, bowling highlight of the innings was Mahesh Kelkar, who took 3 wickets in 0.5 overs which wrecked the batting line up of Heerapur Warriors completely.
Atari Pride won the final with wide margin of 83 runs against Heerapur Warriors.
