Essar Oil Inter-House Cricket Tournament (Vadinar) 2018 was organized between 14th Feb.’18 to 17th Feb.’18 at Jamnagar.
The crucial final of this tournament was played between Essar Lions- 1 and Essar Eagles -1 on 17th Feb.’18 at Essar Township Ground- Jamnagar.
Essar Lions- 1 won the toss and elected to bat. Team started well with Parshil Islania scoring 61 runs in 34 balls with 3 boundaries and 7 sixes. Captain Parth Bhavsar too played a good innings and scored 48 balls off 23 balls and remained not out. Team closed at 192 runs in 15 overs by losing 5 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Mahulgiri Goswami from Essar Eagles - 1 with 2 wickets.
While replying, Essar Eagles- 1 got a good start with both the opening batsmen Rishi Trivedi (21) and Bhavesh Madhavi (29) scoring at fast pace. However, remaining players did not manage to score well against strong bowling attack by Essar Lions- 1. Parth Bhavsar from Essar Lion-1 shined again as he took 4 important wickets in 3 overs damaging the batting line up of Essar Eagles- 1 badly. Kathit Swadia too bowled really well and scalped 3 wickets in 3 overs. Essar Eagles- 1 collapsed making 115 runs in 12.5 overs.
Essar Lions-1 won the final by 77 runs against Essar Eagles- 1 in Essar Oil Inter-House Cricket Tournament (Vadinar) 2018.
