Gujarat Arts and Commerce College (GACC) batsmen came out all guns blazing as they helped the team record a 227- run win over Sunder CC (SCC) in Ganesh Cup (Minor) Tournament on Saturday. At Motera Academy, Urvish Mehta slammed a hurricane 45-ball 128 while Maulik Patel added a whirlwind unbeaten 76-ball 112 as GACC posted 372 for five in 40 overs. Ajay Ninama too chipped in with 30-ball 59. For SCC, Ayush Amin took three wickets. Left with a mountain to climb, SCC batsmen perished as only Hardik Dutt offered some resistance with a 91-ball 71 along with, Rohan Mutha who added 34 from 21balls. For GACC, Mehul Patni took three wickets. Arpit’s all-round show At Motera ‘B’, Arpit Rathi starred in an all-round show as New Ramnagar CC (NRCC) edged out Delhi Chakla CC (DCCC) by 149 runs. Asked to bat, NRCC rode on Arpit’s 47-ball 72 while Parth Sirashiya added 44 from 65 balls to post 253 for seven in 40 overs. For DCCC, Sajid Richniwala took two wickets. Arpit returned to rattle the rivals with a five-wicket haul as NRCC bowled out DCCC for 105 in 24 overs to win the match. For the losing side, Aman Sayer top scored with 30-ball 36. NECC have it easy At Motera ‘C’, New Era CC (NECC) edged out Mandavini Pole CC (MPCC) by eight wickets. Hitarth Patel and Nandish Thakkar took two wickets each as NECC bowled out MPCC for 60 in 25.3 overs. For MPCC, Yugma Acharya top scored with 64-ball 21. Yugma then took two wickets but the target was too small to defend. Parth Thakor guided the team home with an unbeaten 33-ball 27 as NECC knocked off the runs in 14.4 overs.
