RCC Under-16 Tournament 2018, organized by Roshan Cricket Club was played between 26th Jan.’18 to 13th Feb.’18 at Panvel- Navi Mumbai.
Held at RCC Cricket Ground- Panvel, the crucial final was played between R.C.C Green and R.C.C Blue on 13th Feb.’18.
R.C.C Blue won the toss and elected to field. Proving their decision right, team succeeded in taking some important wickets in early overs. Meet Unnadkat 35) and Patil Siddhesh (20) were the only players, who managed to score well against the strong bowling attack by R.C.C Blue. Rest all scored in single digits and team collapsed making 105 runs in 19 overs. While all the bowlers of R.C.C Blue did a good job, pick of the bowlers was Karthik Kumar, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs by giving 15 runs.
While chasing, despite facing some early blows, R.C.C. Blue managed to chased down the target in just 13.2 overs by losing 2 wickets. Himanshu Jha’s unbeaten 54 off 44 balls took team straight towards the final win. Captain Ritwik Malhotra too played a good innings as he scored 20 runs in 20 balls with 3 boundaries.
