Shree Vishwakarma Cricket League 2018 was played between 1st Feb.’18 to 13th Feb.’18 at Ahmedabad.
Out of the 5 participant teams, the final was played between Ganesh Nandi and Ramdev Royals on 13th Feb.’18 at Krishna Nagar Ground-Ahmedabad.
Ganesh Nandi won the toss and elected to bat. Team did not get a very good start and lost some important wickets in initial overs. However, Captain Khushal Suthar, who came 6th for batting played wonderful innings and scored 37 runs off 35 balls with 2 boundaries and 2 sixes. Pintu Jain too played well and added unbeaten 21 runs in 7 balls. Team ended up scoring 129 runs in 15 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Rushabh Shah from Ramdev Royals, who took 2 wickets in 2 overs.
While chasing, Ramdev Royals got a very good start with both the opening batsmen Ajay Malviya and Kiran Chaudhary scoring at fast rate. Ajay Malviya was on fire as he smashed 75 runs in 31 balls with 4 boundaries and 8 sixes. He got a good support from the other end as Karan Chaudhary added 27 runs steadily. Team did lost some wickets in middle overs but the strong beginning helped Ramdev Royals reached at the target in 12 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Updendra Yadav from Ganesh Nandi with 2 wickets.
