Marwadi Yuva Manch Cricketotsav (Assam) 2018 was organized by Marwadi Yuva Manch Tinuskia between 4th Feb.’18 and 11th Feb.’18.
Out of the 10 participant teams, the crucial final was played between Chittoor Chetaks and Alwar Alligators on 11th Feb.’18 at Padmini Cricket Ground- Tinuskia.
Alwar Alligators won the toss and elected to field. They managed to take some important wickets in early overs but Sunil Bhargav from Chittoor Chetaks played a wonderful innings and smashed 62 runs in 36 balls with 5 boundaries and 5 sixes. This helped Chittoor Chetaks closed their innings at a reasonable score of 136 runs in 18.2 overs after losing all the wickets. The other contributor was Punit Agarwal, who posted 30 runs in 33 balls. All the bowlers of Alwar Alligators did a good job but bowling highlight of the innings was Piyush Bansal, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, Alwar Alligators failed to get a good start and went on losing wickets from early overs. None of the played managed to stay on crease for long against the effecting bowling from Chittoor Chetaks. Adarsh Sovasaria was the highest scorer with 19 runs. Rest all the players scored in single digits and team bundled up scoring 48 runs 13.2 overs. Punit Agarwal and Ankit Sarda from Chittoor Chetaks bowled really well and took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
Chittoor Chetaks won the final of Marwadi Yuva Mach Cricketotsav (Assam) 2018 by 88 runs against Alwar Alligators.
