High Court Advocate League 2018 was organized between 6th Feb.’18 to 9th Feb.’18 at Mumbai.
Out of the 20 participant teams, the final was played between Dhakephalkar Dashers (G1) and Borivali- J (F3) on 9th Feb.’18 at Sachivalay, Oval Maidan- Mumbai.
Borivali J- (F3) won the toss and elected to field. Decision did not go in their favour as they failed to restrict opponent at low score. Despite losing some important wickets in early overs, Dhakephalkar Dashers (G1) posted a good score of 183 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Ninad Mazumdar was the major contributor, who made 71 runs off 47 balls with 7 fours and 1 six. Vishal Raman too played a good innings and added 45 runs in 30 balls. Pick of the bowlers was Rajendra Waigankar, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Borivali- j (F3) failed to score at required rate and bundled up making 135 runs in 19.5 overs. No one except Ameesh Shetty (35) managed stand for long on crease. Team went on losing wickets at regular intervals restricting them to score freely. Though all the bowlers of Dhakephalkar Dashers (G1) did a good job, bowling highlight of the innings was Manas Gawankar, who took 3 important wickets in 3.5 overs.
Dhakephalkar Dashers (G1) won the final by 48 runs against Borivali- J (F3) in High Court Advocate League 2018.
