Merchant Campus Sports Festival 2018 was organized between 29th Jan.’18 to 6th Feb.’18 at Mehsana.
Out of the 6 participant teams, the final was played between MIT Faculty and MIDS Faculties on 6th Feb.’18 at Merchant Education Campus-Mehsana.
After winning the toss MIDS Faculties elected to field. Batting first, MIT Faculty played a good innings and scored 107 runs in 12 overs by losing 4 wickets. Vishal Patel was the highest contributor, who smashed 44 runs in 18 ball with 6 sixes. Pick of the bowlers was Shailesh Patel from MIDS Faculties, who took 1 wicket in 3 overs by giving 14 runs.
While chasing, Ankit Patel and Ashwin Prajapati gave MIDS Faculty a good start by scoring 30 and 28 runs respectively at fast pace. Team chased down the target in 10.2 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Vishal Patle from MIT Faculty with 2 wickets.
MIDS Faculties won the final of Merchant Campus Sports Festival 2018 by 6 wickets against MIT Faculty.
