Shriman Balasaheb Thackeray T20 Cup 2018 was organized at Aurangabad between 23rd Jan.’18 to 1st Feb.’18.
Out of the 12 participant teams, the final was played between Sahara Mumbai and Glass Polish India on 1st Feb.’18 at ADCAs Cricket Ground- Aurangabad.
Sahara Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat. Team got a poor start as they lost some important wickets in first few overs. However, Azhar Ansari played really well as he scored unbeaten 55 runs in 32 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. His performance gave much needed to boost to the final score and team managed to close at a decent score of 138 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Sushant Khaire, who scalped 3 wickets in 4 overs by giving 14 runs.
While chasing, Glass Polish India got a very good start as opening batsman Pradip Jagdale smashed 96 runs in 52 balls and remained not out. With his outstanding innings, team chased down the target in 17.3 overs with the loss of 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Mansing Nigade with 2 wickets.
Glass Polish India won the final by 4 wickets against Sahara Mumbai in the final of Shriman Balasaheb Thackeray T20 Cup 2018.
