Sirvi Premier League Season- 6 Tournament 2017-18 was organized by Sirvi Samaj between 7th Jan.’18 to 28th Jan.’18 at Surat.
Out of the 18 participant teams, the final of this much cherished tournament was played between Garima Rockstar and Sirvi Challenger on 28th Jan.’18 at C.B.Patel University Ground- Surat.
Sirvi Challengers won the toss and elected to field. Decision did not go well for the team as Garima Rockstar scored at a very good pace. Highest contributor was Ramesh Gehlot, who scored unbeaten 76 in 30 balls with 4 fours and 7 sixes. With this outstanding performance, team reached at 145 runs in 12 overs by losing 5 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Praveen Soyal from Sirvi Challenger, who took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
While chasing, Sirvi Challengers got a good start with opening batsman Laxman Hombad scoring 36 runs in 22 balls. However, team failed to maintain that pace and wickets started to fall at regular intervals. None of the other players score beyond 10’s and team ended up scoring 100 runs in 12 overs after losing 8 wickets. Ramesh Gehlot from Garima Rockstar shines again as he scalped 3 wickets in 2 overs by giving only 5 runs affecting batting line up of Sirvi Challengers badly.
Garima Rockstar won the final of Sirvi Premier League Season-6 Tournament 2017-18 by 45 runs against Sirvi Challengers.
