One of the most cherished tournaments of Surat- KVS Champions Trophy 2018 was organized between 16th Jan.’18 to 26th Jan.’18 at Tapovan Ground.
Out of the 12 participant teams, the final of this tournament was played between Shree Ganesh 11 and Shree Krishna 11 on 26th Jan.’18.
Shree Ganesh 11 won the toss and elected to bat. Proving their decision right, team played a wonderful innings and scored 184 runs in 25 overs by losing 6 wickets. Team had a strong batting line up with almost all the players scoring at a good pace. Highest scorers were Harshavardhan Sharma and Dinesh Khandelwal, who added 60 and 52 runs respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Pawan Sharma from Shree Krishna 11, who took 2 wickets in 5 overs.
While chasing, Shree Krishna 11 failed to give good fight as none of the players managed to score significantly for the final score. Bowling attack from Shree Ganesh 11 was very strong and team started to fumble from early overs. Sunil Navhal was the highest scorer, who made 31 runs in 30 overs with 3 fours and 1 six. Rest of the players failed to make a mark and team collapsed in 20.5 overs after making 107 runs. Jaikishan Khandelwal and Rakesh Khandelwal from Shree Ganesh 11 bowled well as they took 2-2 wickets each.
Shree Ganesh 11 won the final of KVS Champions Trophy 2017 by 77 runs against Shree Krishna 11.
