26th January CricDay Tournament 2018 was played today at Mundra-Kachchh. 27 teams from various verticals participated in this much loved tournament.
Held at Shashtri Maidan-Mundra, the final of this tournament was played between Ma Ashapura Eleven and A.One Mundra on 26th Jan.’18.
A-One Mundra won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Ma Ashapur Eleven played an outstanding innings as they scored 128 runs in 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Almost all the players performed well but the highest contributor was Bhupatsinh Chauhan, who scored 43 runs in 23 balls. Bowling highlight of the innings was Samir Bhavsar from A.One Mundra, who took 3 wickets in 2 overs.
While chasing, A-One Mundra got a good start with both the opening batsmen Sajid Sama and Hiren Fafal scoring 33 and 22 runs respectively at a good pace. However, none of the remaining players managed to deliver the same performance and wickets started to fall at regular intervals resulted in slow pace. Team ended up scoring 90 runs at the end of 12 overs after losing 6 wickets. Ajitsinh Sodha from Ma Ashapura Eleven bowled extremely well as he took 3 important wickets in 3 overs damaging the batting line up of A.One Mundra badly.
Ma Ashapur Eleven won the final by 38 runs against A-One Mundra in 26th January CricDay Tournament 2018.
Player of the match was Ajitsinh Sodha from Ma Ashapura Eleven.
