Vipra Premier League 2018 was organized between 14th Jan.’18 to 25th Jan.’18 at Raipur.
Out of the 18 participant teams, the final was played between Mangal Murti and Team Chanakya on 25th Jan.’18 at Vipra College Ground- Raipur.
Mangal Murti won the toss and elected to bat. Team did not get a very good start. Despite starting at a good pace, players did not manage to stand for long and wickets started to fall from early overs. None of the players managed to score beyond 10’s and team ended up scoring 59 runs in 10 overs by losing 8 overs. Highest scorer was Dipendra with 18 runs. All the bowlers of Team Chanakya did a good job but the pick of the bowlers was Utkarsh Pandey, who took 2 wickets in 1 over by giving only 1 run.
While chasing, Team Chanakya played a good innings and chased down the target in 7.4 overs by losing 3 wickets. Team had a strong batting line up with all the players scoring at a good pace. Highest scores were Shashank Pandey and Utkarsh Pandey with 24 and 15 runs respectively.
