G.L.Kakadiya U-19 Inter School Tournament was organized between 9th Jan.’18 to 20th Jan.’18 at Bhavnagar.
16 teams from various schools of Bhavnagar participated in this tournament. The final of this tournament was held at Bhavnagar University Ground on 19th Jan.’18 between Shree L.G. Kakadiya School and Home School- Gujarati.
Shree L.G. Kakadiya School won the toss and elected to bat. Team had a strong batting line up with all the players scoring significantly. Team ended up at a good score of 141 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Highest scorers were Yuvrajsinh Shinol and Dharmik J with 56 and 37 respectively. Pick of the bowlers was Samir Pathan with 2 wickets.
While chasing, Home School- Gujarati gave a very good fight till the last over. However, team did not manage to maintain the pace and fell short of 14 runs for the final win. Prem Patel and Achyut Angham were the highest scorers, who added 39 and 31 runs respectively. Team closed their inning at 127 runs at the of 20 overs after losing 6 wickets.
Shree L.G. Kakadiya won the final by 14 runs in G.L. Kakadiya U-19 Inter School Tournament.
