KRPR Ward Level Cricket Tournament was organized by Yuvasena Association at Venkatgiri between 7th Jan.’18 to 14th Jan.’18.
Out of the 25 participant teams, the final of this tournament was played between Ward-9 and Ward- 2 teams on 14th Jan.’18 at Visvodaya College Ground, Venkatgiri.
Ward- 2 won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Ward-9 played a very good innings and scored 101 runs at the end of 12 overs after losing 3 wickets. C.H.Rushi played extremely well as he scored unbeaten 62 in 38 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes.
While chasing, Ward-2 team did not manage to score freely against the effecting bowling by Ward- 9 team. Highest scorers were Charan and Koti with 21 and 32 runs. Rest of the players failed to make a mark and team ended up scoring 76 runs at the end of 12 overs by losing 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was P. Vijay Kumar, who took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
Ward- 9 won the final by 26 runs against Ward- 2 in KRPR Ward Level Cricket Tournament.
Player of the match was C.H.Rushi from Ward-9.
