Veeda Premier League 2018 was organized between 1st Jan.’18 to 11th Jan.’18 at Ahmedabad.
9 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament from which, the final was played between Vedant Warriors XI and Knight Riders XI at SGVP Ground, Ahmedabad on 11th Jan.’ 18.
Knight Riders XI won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Vedant Warriors XI lost its first wicket on the very first bowl of the match. However, following batsmen Javed Gavli and Pratik Gondalia played excellent innings and added 49 and 42 runs respectively at a very good pace. This helped team closing at a good score of 137 runs at the end of 18 overs after losing 7 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sandesh Kadam from Knight Riders XI, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing the target of 138 runs, Knight Riders XI got a very good start with both the opening batsmen scoring steadily for the final chase. However, Sandesh Kadam stole the show as he smashed 62 runs in 38 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes and remained not out. Haresh Diyora too supported well from the other end and scored 17 runs in 11 balls. Team chased down the target in 17.4 overs by losing 2 wickets.
Knight Riders XI won the final by 8 wickets against Vedant Warriors XI in Veeda Premier League 2018.
Sandesh Kadam from Knight Riders XI was awarded as the player of the match.
