Mahavir CC had won a comprehensive victory against Ahmedabad City Police in the three-day Reliance Foundation major tournament match played at Motera- B. Batting first Ahmedabad City Police managed a paltry 186 in 68.4 overs. Siddarth Gemavat top scored for the cops with 56 runs of 58 deliveries whereas Pranjal Sutaria was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets for 40. Mahavir CC in their first innings managed to take a lead of 43 runs as they posted 229 runs in 58.1 overs. Pranjal Sutaria returned with the bat and scored a brisk 51of 65 deliveries. Nitesh Ode was the pick of the ballers for the cops with figures of 6 for 120. In their second innings, the cops again failed to put up a strong target as the batsmen were bundled out for 151 in 62.1 overs. Rakesh Yadav managed to top score for the cops with 51 of 103 balls, whereas Anand Tekchandani picked up 6 wickets giving away only 41runs in 19.1overs. Mahavir CC returned to chase 108 runs and ended up winning the game with 10 wickets in hand having scored 111in 24.1overs. Kathan Patel top scored with an unbeaten 58 of 75 balls and was well supported by Alsaz Pathan who scored an unbeaten 53 of 70 balls.
