One of the most celebrated tournaments - ZX Valiant Premier League-3 2017-18 came to an end with Gwalior Golden Tigers winning the final against Bhopal Titans on 7th Jan.’ 18 at Captain Roop Singh Stadium- Gwalior.
It was an interesting final between two of the strongest teams of the tournament, where in Gwalior Golden Tigers won the toss and elected to bat. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, team played a good innings and scored 144 runs at the end of 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Highest scorers were Anand Singh and Prashant, who scored 47 and 35 runs respectively at fast pace. Pick of the bowlers was Meet Nayak from Bhopal Titans with 2 wickets.
While replying, Bhopal Titans started to fumble from early overs. No one except Captain Richi Shukla managed to contribute well in the final score. Richi Shukla made a very good effort as he made 58 runs in 68 balls, which was the highest score of the innings. Rest of the players did not go beyond 10’s and team bundled up scoring 121 runs in 19.5 overs. Anand Singh and Wasim from Gwalior Golden Tigers bowled really well as they took 2 wickets each.
