The 12th Sikh Premier League 2017 was organized between 29th Dec.’ 17 to 7th Jan.’ 18 at Raipur. 17 teams from various cities of India participated in this tournament.
Held at Hira Ground- Raipur, the final of the tournament was played between Khalsa Cricket Clubs and Chandigarh Singhs on 7th Jan.’18, where in khalsa Cricket Clubs won the toss and elected to bat.
Team got very good start with opening batsman Harinder Pal Singh scoring 50 runs in 37 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Team played a good innings with almost all the players contributing significantly for the final score. Khalsa Cricket Clubs ended up scoring 177 runs in 20 overs by losing 9 wickets. Harpreet Singh(Honey) from Chandigarh Singhs was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Chandigarh Singhs failed to score at a required pace from the beginning. Wickets started to fall at regular intervals and none of the players managed to stand for long on crease. Highest scorer was Ishleen Singh with 32 runs. Team collapsed scoring 120 runs in 15.3 overs. Amandeep Singh and Harpreet Singh from Khalsa Cricket Clubs had been the chief wreckers, who took 3 wickets each damaging the batting line of Chandigarh Singhs completely.
Khalsa Cricket Clubs won the final by 57 runs against Chandigarh Singhs in 12th Sikh Premier League 2017.
Harinder Pal Singh from Khalsa Cricket Clubs was awarded as the player of the match.
