IIAPL- 7 2018 (India Institute Of Architects Premier League) organized by Indian Institute Of Architect was played between 4th Jan.’ 18 to 6th Jan.’ 18 at Ahmedabad.
18 teams from various cities of Indiaparticipated in this much celebrated tournament. Held at Sardar Patel Stadium- Navarangpura, the final of this tournament was between Dilli Krafters (IIA) and Maharashtra Legions-A (IIA) on 6th Jan.’ 18.
Dilli Krafters (IIA) won the toss and elected to bat. Captain Amit Sharma gave team a very good start as he scored 32 runs in 20 balls with 5 boundaries. Jensil John and Sumeet Kumar too shown some wonderful batting skills by adding 39 and 44 runs respectively at good pace. Dilli Krafters ended at a good score of 143 runs at the end of 15 overs by losing 5 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sunil Bhale from Maharasthra Legion- A (IIA), who took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
While replying, Maharashtra Legions- A (IIA) too started well with opening batsman Hitesh Gujar scoring at fast pace. However, he failed to get good support from the other end and team started to lose wickets from early overs. Hitesh Gujar made 52 runs in 31 balls but remaining players barely managed to score beyond 10’s. Amit Sharma from Dilli Krafters (IIA) proved to be the wrecker for Maharashtra Legions- A (IIA) as he took 3 important wickets during crucial overs damaging the batting line up badly. Team failed to score at a required pace and ended up scoring 128 runs at the end of 15 overs after losing 7 wickets.
Dilli Krafters (IIA) won the final of IIAPL-7 2018 by 15 runs against Maharashtra Legions- A (IIA).
Amit Sharma from Dilli Krafters (IIA) was awarded as the player of the match.
