Just Cricket U-14 Tournament 2017-18 was organized at Bengaluru between 27th Dec,’ 17 to 1st Jan.’ 18.
Out of 8 participant teams, the final of this much loved tournament was played between Jawars U-14 and U-14 RXCA at MVIT-1, Bengaluru on 1st Jan.’ 18.
Jawars U-14 won the toss and elected to bat. Team played a wonderful innings scoring 252 runs in 50 overs by losing 9 wickets. Karthik S U gave a good start by smashing 76 runs with 10 boundaries. Ayush Jha and Sidhant Sudhir too scored well and added 46 and 30 runs respectively at a very good pace. Rajvir Wadhwa from U-14 RXCA bowled really well taking 4 wickets in 10 overs.
While replying, despite getting a good start U-14 RXCA failed to score at required pace. Bowlers of Jawars U-14 succeed in restricting the opponent from scoring freely. Top scorers were Varun P Annandani and Rajvir Wadhwa with 31 and 29 runs respectively. Though team had a strong batting line up with all the players adding the to final score steadily, U-14 RXCA ended up scoring 176 runs in 44 overs after losing all the wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Sufiyaan Sharief from Jawars U-14 with 3 wickets.
Jawars U-14 won the final by 76 runs against U-14 RXCA.
