One of the most cherished tournaments of Punjab- Teshwar Cricket Academy 2017 was organized between 16th Sep.’ 17 to 24th Dec.’ 17 at Bathinda.
21 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. An all-important final of this tournament was held on 24th Dec.’ 17 at TSA Ground-Bathinda between HP Racers (TSA) and Krishna Bahi Store (TSA).
Krishna Bahi Store (TSA) won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, HP Racers (TSA) played an excellent innings with all the players contributing well in the final score. Players scored at a very good pace and team managed to end at a huge score of 314 runs at the end of 26 overs by losing 8 wickets. Mandeep Raju was the highest scorer as made 80 runs in just 32 balls with 4 fours and 10 sixes. Pick of the bowlers was Dr. Dheeraj Bansal from Krishna Bahi Store (TSA), who took 3 wickets in 5 overs.
While chasing, Krishna Bahi Store (TSA) did not manage to handle the pressure and started to lose wickets from early overs. The target looked almost impossible for them when Vijay Kumar came for batting on 8th position. The batsman was on fire as he smashed 155 runs in 62 balls with 5 fours and 21 sixes. However, he failed to get support from the other end and team bundled up scoring 254 runs in 23.5 overs. Bowling highlight of the innings was Mandeep Raju from HP Racers (TSA), who took 4 wickets in 5 overs.
HP Racers (TSA) won the final of Teshwar Cricket Academy 2017 by wide margin of 60 runs against Krishna Bahi Store (TSA).
