One of the most celebrated tournaments of Jammu- Chief Minister T20 Women’s Premier League 2017 was held between 17th Dec.’ 17 to 25th Dec.’ 17.
8 Women teams from various cities of India participated in the tournament. An interesting final of this tournament was played between Jammu Princess and Srinagar Queens on 25th Dec.’ 17 at K.C.Cricket Ground-Jammu.
Srinagar Queens won the toss and and elected to field. Batting first, Jammu Princess played a good innings. Meenu Salathiya gave team a good start as she scored 50 runs in 58 balls. Despite losing some important wickets in early overs, team managed to end at a decent score of 114 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Summayah Jan from Srinagar Queens was the pick of the bowlers as she took 3 important wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Srinagar Queens started well with Jassia smashing 35 runs in 27 balls with 7 boundaries. However, she failed to get support from other end as team started to lose wickets at regular intervals. Nadia from Jammu Princess bowled extremely well as she took 5 wickets and 4 overs and wrecked batting line up of Srinagar Queens completely. Srinagar Queens bundled up scoring 90 runs in 16. 4 overs.
Jammu Princess won the final by 20 runs against Srinagar Queens in Chief Minister T20 Women’s Premier League 2017.
Naida from Jammu Princess was awarded as a player of the match.
