TCA Indira Priyadarshini Memorial State Level Invitation T-20 Cricket Tournament was organised by The Telangana Cricket Association between 17th Dec.’ 17 to 24th Dec.’ 17 at Gadwal.
30 teams from various parts of Telangana State participated in this prestigious tournament. The final of this tournament was played at Somanadri Stadium Ground- Gadwal on 24th Dec.’ 17 between Karvi (TCA) and Indur Icons (TCA).
Karvy (TCA) won the toss and elected to bat. Team got a good start with both the opening batsmen Sanjeev Reddy and Harsha Vardhan Naidu scoring at a good pace. Team managed to score 172 runs at the end of 20 overs after losing 8 wickets. Leading batsman Captain Sanjeev Reddy played a wonderful innings as he scored 41 runs in 29 balls with 7 boundaries and 1 six. Harsh Vardhan Naidu and Suresh too played well and scored 27 and 28 runs respectively at a good pace.Gourav Sharma from Indu Icons (TCA) was the pick of the bowlers as he took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While replying, despite getting a poor start Indur Icons (TCA) gave a very good fight till the last over. All the players tried really well as they went on adding runs steadily despite losing wickets at regular intervals. Highest scorer was Muzamil, who scored 35 runs in 17 balls and remained not out. However, team fell short of 2 runs at the end of 20 overs as they reached at the score of 170 runs after losing 9 wickets. A G Praveen from Karvy (TCA) bowled really well as he took 3 important wickets in 4 overs.
Indur Icons (TCA) lost the final by 2 runs against Karvy (TCA) in the final of TCA Indira Priyadarshini Memorial State Level lInvitation T-20 Cricket Tournament.
