Thali Premier League 2017 (TPL 4) was organized between 16th Dec.’17 to 24th Dec.’17 at Ahmedabad.
Out of 12 participant teams, the final of this tournament was played between Shahi Super Kings (TPL 4) and Royal Stars (TRP 4) at Vivenza Gopi Farm- Ahmedabad on 24th Dec.’17.
Shahi Super Kings (TPL 4) won the toss and elected to bat. Decision did not go well for them as team started to fumble from early overs. None of the players managed to score freely against the strong bowling attack from Royal Stars (TPL 4) and they ended up scoring 63 runs at the end of 16 overs by losing 9 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Kapil Tater from Royal Stars (TPL 4), who took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Royal Stars (TPL 4) got a good start with both the opening batsman scoring steadily. Since the target was not very difficult to achieve, team managed to reach at the score of 65 runs in 10. 5 overs with the loss of 1 wicket. Mudit Chopra was the highest scorer with 20 runs.
Royal Stars (TPL 4) won the final by 9 wickets against Shahi Super Kings (TPL 4).
Deepak Baid from Royal Stars (TPL 4) was awarded as the player of the match.
Player of the tournament was Punit Dugar from Lion Kings CC (TPL-4).
