One of the most cherished tournaments - 7th B.K. Gupta Memorial Cricket Tournament was organized between 4th Dec.’ 17 to 23rd Dec.’ 17 at Gurgaon.
24 teams from various schools of different cities participated in this tournament. The final of this tournament was played on 23rd Dec.’ 17 at Bal Bhavan Cricket Ground- New Delhi between Amenity Public School (7BKG) and BBIS Dwarka 12 (7BKG).
Amenity Public School (7BKG) won the toss and elected to bat. Team started well with opening batsman Jasmeet scoring 20 runs in 18 balls. However, team started to lose wickets from early overs, which restricted them from scoring well. Players failed to score against the strong bowling attack by BBIS Dwarka 12 (7BKG). None of the players managed to go beyond 20’s and team bundled up scoring 98 runs at the end of 10 overs. Vanshaj Sharma from BBIS Dwarka 12 (7BKG) bowled extremely well as he took 4 wickets in 3.2 overs damaging the batting line up of Amenity Public School (7BKG) completely.
While replying, the captain of BBIS Dwarka 12 (7BKG)- Dev Lakra was on fire as he smashed 86 runs in just 26 balls taking his team straight towards the victory against Amenity Public School (7BKG). With his amazing performance, team scored 101 runs in just 6 overs without any loss.
BBIS Dwarka 12 (7BKG) won the final of 7th B.K.Gupta Memorial Cricket Tournament by 10 wickets against Amenity Public School (7KBG).
Dev Lakra from BBIS Dwarka 12 (7BKG) was awarded s the player of the match.
