Muslim Premier League 2017 was played between 6th Dec.’17 to 17th Dec.’17 at Mandvi- Kutch.
16 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. Played at G.T.Ground Mandvi, the final of this much celebrated tournament was between RMP XI and Galaxy Marketing XI on 17th Dec.’17.
Galaxy Marketing XI won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, RMP XI got a good start with both the opening batsmen- Jumma Manan and Hussain Karani scoring at a good pace. Though team lost some important wickets in crucial overs, team managed to close the innings at a good score of 137 runs in 12 overs by losing 7 wickets. Leading batsman Hussain Karani played really well as he smashed 62 off 30 balls with 4 fours 6 sixes. Pick of the bowlers was Hifazat Jat from Galaxy Marketing XI, who took 3 wickets in 2 overs.
While replying, Galaxy Marketing XI gave a good fight till the last over. However, team failed to maintain the pace to achieve the target. No one except Asgar Chaki (52) scored significantly and team ended up scoring 130 runs in 12 overs with the loss of 7 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Javed Jamadar from RMP XI with 2 wickets.
RMP XI won the final of Muslim Premier League 2017 by 7 runs against Galaxy Marketing XI.
Player of the match was Hussain Karani from RMP XI.
