Sports Jockey T-20 Cricket Tournament 2017 was organized between 3rd Dec.’27 to 16th Dec.’17 at Ahmedabad.
15 teams from various verticals participated in this tournament. The crucial final of this much celebrated tournament was held at Sardar Patel Stadium- Navarangpura between Sadbhav (SJ) and Palm Greens (SJ) on 16th Dec.’17.
Palm Greens (SJ) won the toss and elected to field. Batting first, Sadbhav (SJ) played a great innings and ended up scoring 165 runs at the end of 20 overs with almost all the players contributing well in the final score. Opening batsman Firoz Baloch was on fire as he smashed 51 runs in 27 balls with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes. The other major contributor was Pankaj Patnakar, who scored 51 off 27 balls. Bowling highlight of the innings was Rakesh Yadav from Palm Greens (SJ) with 2 wickets.
Palm Greens (SJ) managed to chase down the target in just 15 overs with the loss of 3 wickets because of it very strong batting line up. All the players scored at a great pace, which helped team reaching to the target easily. Leading batsman was Rakesh Yadav with 57 runs.
