SGVP Trophy-7 (U-17 All India School Cricket Tournament) was organized at Ahmedabad between 24th Oct.’17 to 14th Dec.’17. 28 teams from various schools of India participated in this tournament.
Played at SGVP Ground, the final of this tournament was between SGVP Senior XI and RCA Rajkot on 14th Nov.’17 where in RCA Rajkot won the toss and elected to field.
Mit Bhuva and Nikhil Sachdev from SGVP Senior XI gave team a good start by scoring at a fast clip. However, team lost wickets at regular intervals and remaining players failed to maintain the pace. Team ended up scoring 148 runs in 28.5 overs after losing all the wickets. Highest contributors were Vaibhav bhati and Nikhil Sachdev with 28 and 26 runs respectively. Moin Balapariya was pick of the bowers with 4/27 in 5.5 overs.
While replying, despite facing some early blows Digvijay Vala (61) and Dhaval’s (63)’s strong partnership steered RCA Rajkot towards the final win. Team chased down the target in 26.1 overs after losing 4 wickets.
RCA Rajkot won the final of SGVP Trophy 7 (U-17 All India School Cricket Tournament) by 7 wickets against SGVP Senior XI.
Player of the match was Dhaval from RCA Rajkot.
