One of the most cherished tournaments of Ahmedabad - U-14 H.C. Kapasi School Tournament 2017 is being played at Motera Stadium- Ahmedabad. 22 teams from various schools of Ahmedabad are participating in this tournament.
Audience at Motera Stadium witnessed some phenomenal performances in one of the matches of this tournament, which was played between Shree Vidyanagar School and C.N. Vidyanagar U-14.
C.N. Vidyalay U-14 won the toss and elected to field. Team succeeded in restricting Shree Vidyanagar School at the score of 119 runs at the end of first innings. Dhruv Boricha from C.N. Vidyalaya wrecked the batting line up of Shree Vidyanagar School completely by taking 5 wickets in 34 overs by giving only 25 runs.
C.N. Vidyalay played a wonderful innings but Karn Thakkar stole the show as he remained unbeaten at the score of 307 runs with 37 boundaries and 5 sixes. With this remarkable performance, C.N. Vidyalaya declared their innings at the massive score of 450 runs after losing 9 wickets.
While chasing the target, Shree Vidyanagar School put up a great effort. However, team failed to score runs against the strong bowling attack of Abhay and Dhruv Boricha from C.N. Vidyalay U-14, who took 5 and 3 wickets respectively. Shree Vidyanagar School ended up scoring 142 runs in their second innings.
With some outstanding performances, C.N. Vidyalay won the match by an innings and 189 runs against Shree Vidyanagar School.
