U-14 Cricket Tournament 2017 was organized by Kheda District Cricket Association 2017 between 19th Nov.’17 to 11th Dec.’17 at Nadiad.
Out of the 7 participant teams, the final of U-14 Cricket Tournament- 2017 was played between Nadiad Strikers (U-14) and Champ Sports (U-14) on 11th Dec.’17 at G.S. Patel Stadium, Nadiad.
Champ Sports (U-14) won the toss and elected to field. The decision completely went in their favour as they managed to bowl out Nadiad Strikers in just 32 runs in their first innings. None of the players got chance to score against strong bowling attack from Champ Sports (U-14). Shehroz F Diwan from Champ Sports (U-14) bowled exceptionally well as took 4 wickets in 5.4 overs by giving only 5 runs.
Champ Sports (U-14) made 114 runs in their first innings after losing all the wickets. Highest scorer was Anuj Patel, who scored 40 runs with 6 boundaries. Chinmay Patel from Nadiad Strikers was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 wickets in 11 overs by giving only 19 runs.
Nadiad Strikers (U-14) did not get a chance to score as Shehroz F Diwan from Champ Sports (U-14) destroyed the batting lineup completely by taking 6 wickets in quick succession. Team bundled up scoring 44 runs in their second innings.
Champ Sports (U-14) won the final of U-14 Cricket Tournament 2017 by an innings and 34 runs against Nadiad Strikers (U-14).
