Burhani Mufaddal Cup 2017-18 was organized at Vadodara between 8th Dec.’17 to 10th Dec.’17.
Out of the 8 participant teams, the final was played between Burhani Lions and Zainee Elephants on 10th Dec.’17 at Railway Ground, Vadodara.
Zainee Elephants won the toss and elected to field. Decision seemed to be right for the team as they managed to bowl Burhani Lions out at the score of 68 runs in 11.4 overs. No players except Yusuf Kapadia (21) and Yunus Kapadia (19) managed to stand on crease for long. Pick of the bowlers was Mustafa Jeeran Wala, who took 2 wickets in 1 over by giving only 2 runs.
While chasing, Zainee Elephants gave a very good fight till the last over. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, team continued to add runs steadily. However, they failed to sustain against the terrific bowling attack by Yusuf Kapadia from Burhani Lions, who took 5 important wickets during crucial overs of the match. The nail-biting match ended with Zainee Elephants losing the final by just 1 run at the end of 12 overs as they ended up scoring 67/9.
Burhani Lions won the final of Burhani Mufaddal Cup 2017-18 by 1 run against Zainee Elephants.
