Shaan Patel and Shrey Gohel came out with a dominating display as their all-round show helped St Xavier's School Loyola Hall beat City High School (CHS) by virtue of the first innings lead in under- 19 Diwan Ballubhai School Tournament. At CN Vidyalay, Shaan took five wickets while Shrey snared three as St Xavier's School bowled out their rivals for 112 in the first innings. Shrey then carted the rival bowlers for 164-ball 174 while Shaan chipped in with a patient 296-ball 156 as Loyola boys posted 532 to take the deciding 420-run first innings lead. Hetarth Baxi too chipped in with 43-ball 41for the eventual winners. For CHS, Smit Patel waged a lone battle with six wickets. With the fate of the match already decided, CHS batsmen showed some mettle as they posted 147 for two in the second innings before the end of the match. Bhavesh Nathani top scored with 56-ball 76 while Sakram added 47-ball 60.
