Academy Cricket Tournament was held at Modasa between 23rd Oct.’17 to 3rd Dec.’17.
27 teams from various cricket academies participated in this tournament. Academy Cricket Tournament ended with an interesting final played between Balance Cricket Academy and Mahisagar Lions on 3rd Dec.’17 at Nalanda Genius Cricket Ground, Modasa.
Balance Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat. Team got a good start with Captain Bhushan Chauhan scoring 31 runs at a good pace. However, team kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and ended up scoring 136 runs in 19.1 overs after losing all wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Harsh Jadhav from Mahisagar Lions, who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing the target of 137 runs, Mahisagar Lions too got a good start as opening batsman Tushar Shrikantbhai Dashadiya scored 47 runs in 30 balls. Despite good effort, remaining players failed to maintain the pace and bundled up scoring 123 runs in 19.2 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Virendrasinh Solanki from Balance Academy, who took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
