The 1st Divyang Premier League 2017 was organized at Sonipat between 1st Dec.’17 to 3rd Dec.’17.
5 teams from different cities of India participated in the tournament. The final of 1st Divyang Premier League 2017 was held at Rai School Cricket Ground, Sonipat on 3rd Dec.’17 between Mumbai Champs (DPL) and Haryana Hurricanes (DPL).
Haryana Hurricanes (DPL) won the toss and elected to field. Decision did not go in the favour as they failed to restrict the opponent from scoring well. Sugnesh from Mumbai Champs (DPL) played a terrific innings as he scored 94 runs in 55 balls by hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Saurabh Ravalia too scored at a good pace and added 38 runs in 33 balls. Mumbai Champs (DPL) was at a good score of 164 runs at the end of 20 overs with the loss of 5 wickets. Bowling highlight of the innings was Harish from Haryana Hurricanes (DPL), who took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
While chasing, Haryana Hurricanes (DPL) did not get a good start and wickets started to fall from early overs. Mumbai Champs (DPL) bowled really well and restricted Haryana Hurricane (DPL) at the score of 75 runs in 14.1 overs after losing all the wickets. None of the players managed to stand for long. Highest scorer was Yashh N with 19 runs. Pawan Kumar from Mumbai Champs (DPL) bowled extremely well and took 3 wickets in 2.1 overs damaging the batting line up of Haryana Hurricanes (DPL).
Mumbai Champs (DPL) won the final of 1st Divyang Premier League 2017 with a wide margin of 89 runs against Haryana Hurricanes (DPL).
